Default yellow button, roof raises except for lower segmant

Hi all, the yellow button in the boot used to work as it should, allowing me to raise the roof, lift the separator and access the lower boot space. The last few times I've tried using it all the roof raises as it should accept the very lower segment of the roof, meaning I can't raise the boot separator to access the lower boot space. Has anyone else had this problem ?

yes its caused by a broken wire where the harness bends when scanned with vida it usualy says short to hall sensor 3 . i believe its located behind one of the rear interior side panels and can be repaired through the speaker hole .

Oh b*g**r! Access through the speaker hole!

I was without the yellow button function completely for ages, believing that I had to pull out half the interior of the car to find/mend a broken wire at best, or at worst, wait many months to receive a replacement sensor.

Still not fixed when I sold the car - faults divulged - to a Volvo specialist indie.

sensors very rarely fail its nearly always a broken wire but you need to strip back the outer sheathing to find it rear seat out and side panels to access speaker hole its tight but do able there are some photographs on another post on here.
