Default manifold for 740

Hi,
Am looking for exhaust manifold gaskets to the head cylinder of my 740. I think they come in a kit of 4.

A strange coincidence that I joined the forum today for this purpose and there's your post.

Are there any other possible references to 'manifold' that I could be confusing my requirements with?
And are the 740 and 940 interchangeable?

regards,
Will P,

I'm selling the complete manifold not the gaskets. They are no longer available from Volvo though

Cheers

Hi Mark,

Think I've just PM'd you about the Panhard Rod, but sent box is empty!!!

Anyway, I know you know your stuff on these, and take it the rod fits 740's & 940's with solid axle. Do you recall if it still has the bushings in it? Not a problem really as I would intend to renew anyway, but if they're still in, then I can use as a guide for orientation etc when putting new ones in

If so then I'll take the rod please, it will get me a small step further to refurbing my front and rear ends.

You kindly sent me a couple of the small blue bulbs previously, so if my PM has not come through, just PM me please and I can hopefully reply with address so you can advise total including postage.

Many thanks
Steve

I replied to your message Steve. Yes it will fit and I have removed the bushes. Shell is left in one but it easy enough to get out.

I'll clean it up a bit but I got my last one blasted and powder coated and it came up like new

Hi, Mark.
I don't know much, as you can see.
If what you're selling includes what I need, I will take the whole part.
If not, do I understand that Monster can sell me the 4 rings?

Am out of contact now till evening.

Hi, again.
Let's move this along. I've tried to PM you, but it didn't go off.

I'll use the gaskets and keep your manifold in reserve, since it's an MOT-failable feature and I may want one in the future at short notice.

I presume you use Paypal. You'd be sending the part to Kent. I hope the system doesn't try and insist on a foreign-postage surcharge because my billing address is abroad (yawn).

There's no great rush; slow mail will do. Please tell me the purchase procedures, if the part hasn't been sold yet. And a big thanks for the Monster tip.
