Had my 2004 XC70 for fifteen years now and it’s always lovely to drive. If I could only drive this car for the rest of my driving life I’d be a happy man.

Bought my first Volvo (a 360 GLT) in 1980 and have owned one ever since. I've had my current 960 3Ltr 24v since 1996.

Volvo ownership history
Prior to 2001 we had an 850, then a V70 mk1 (Classic) and finally the Mk3 V70 D3 we have now. All much loved, even the 850 which we subsequently realised had been clocked!

I’ve had my 850 t5 for 8 years now.
My c30 t5 for almost 2 years. Bought my mk1 s40 t4 about a year ago. My latest purchase is a 2004 v50 t5 about 3 weeks ago. My other half has an xc40 which we got at the end of last year which she says is a keeper. Got another couple of non Volvos lying around, a Saab convertible and a w124 merc but they’ll probably be sold soon |

1990 745 GL Facelift (B200F LH2.4 cat) ... 32 years and 1 month from new.
What is it they say ... 'the devil you know'! Runs beautifully and no rust whatsoever. It's had all the usual 745 'problems' fixed over the years as they cropped up. Then, there's the 1998 89K miles V70 T5 CD Auto with the 20valve 240hp turbo. Well, that's a slightly different class of motor and a real joy to drive. Bob |
