Hi,

I too, are chasing a vibration through the cabin on the wifes 2005 V50 2.0D.
Three garages later and they can't pinpoint this one.

Changed the engine mount under the battery - zilch, but original was cracked.
Changed the lower rear gearbox mount with a Febi; £23 from Ebay - Zilch, but original was cracked.

The wife seems to think the o/s upper mount has already been done, but will need to check.
May look at changing the control arms next. We have even had to retighten the exhaust clamp at the back of the turbo a few times as it rattles loose.

If we get this fixed, I'll post to say what the fix was in our case....

V50 has been back to our local garage. According to mechanic; vibration could be gearbox or wheel bearing. Little more investigation required.
Gearbox whining slightly in 5th gear and vibration pronounced when towing caravan.
Also I noticed near side front wheel was hotter than the off side. Will check for slight brake binding.

Oh well, still hanging!!!
