Absolutely stunning prep, you will certainly have an amazing Amazon once it's finished.

Are you going for the same off white top coat?

Major workshop envy, is the rotisserie one you made up, or bought??

Cheers
Steve

Thanks, hope so.

Yep the same colour all over, I’m just putting the outside in epoxy primer for now and will build the car back up then finish the paint is the plan.

This rotisserie is my mate’s, he built it. I also have one but this one he built for the Amazon so borrowing it until the car is back on it’s wheels.

Love my workshop, I’ve done a lot of improvements and a extension to get it where it is now.

I can relax now, got the outer shell in epoxy primer. That should seal the metal perfectly. Next up is the fuel tank, fuel and brake lines while the car is on the rotisserie.

Took the masking off today after work, very pleased with how it turned out. Couple of wee areas on flanges need a stripe coat and I need to mask off the gutters and get in with a paint brush to make sure I have a really good coating before seam sealing them. The gutters are prone to rusting so they need to be 100%.

Gutters are 3 sheets pressed together, failure of the original seam sesler can cause real issues.
So epoxy then sealer then epoxy then top coat, or top coat onto sealer?

I removed as much of the original seam sealer as I could as I went to town on the gutters making sure there was no rust so now it will be epoxy, seam sealer, epoxy and topcoat. Will be a bit of a pain and probably will need to make a wee tool to spread it evenly, will see I suppose.

Did the gutters and stripe coated the edges, happy how it turned out.

Yep, looks really good.
Out of interest how were the rear window surrounds, especially on the C pillar. Mine rusted through and I know of at least 2 other 2 doors with same issue.

Also, interestingly, you also have the strengthening triangle on inner wing where it meets the bulkhead. I'm wondering if this is standard on 2 doors or on late body shells.
