The increased use of ethanol is hammering the potency of unleaded fuel. Since the amount of ethanol was increased in unleaded, the mpg fell and this was noticed by many petrol car owners. My Subaru doesn’t like E10 and I’m achieving at best 36mpg where as E5 is giving me 40mpg. It’s a noticeable increase that makes paying the extra worth it

Must admit I'm using E10 in the barge[P1 V70 manual 2.4 140]and I've not noticed any difference in performance-although I don't drive it like I stole it these days-and no noticeable difference in fuel consumption either,so I'll stick with the cheaper E10.

Started to manually measure mpg from when I last put some petrol in but unfortunately the trip mileage seemed to have reset itself at some point. Unfortunately I didn't make a note of the odometer reading. Will have to measure on my next fill up.

However, I drove from Newcastle to Harrogate over the weekend and the trip computer showed an average of 40mpg. I was going steady at around 62mph and the advertised mpg is 42mpg. This makes me think that the vehicle's calculation might be accurate. Unless the advertised mpg was worked out by using the trip computer 😁

I would estimate 32mpg. I used to have an S60 with a 2ltr auto and on a run I would get 32mpg. But…. If you’re getting near 40mpg then Booooom!!! You’re doing great 👍🏻 Ultimately, if you love the drive then sod the MPG.

Ditto….. I can make my Vorg do 27mpg or 42mpg (preferably the latter). I do my best to keep about circa 62mph on a run and sit back and enjoy. I set the Cruise at 62 and let the electronic Voodoo do it’s thing, why rush?
How the exhaust anyway? Still happy with it?
