Default Knocking/tapping noise from engine V50 1.6 diesel

V50 1.6 diesel 2010

This noise started a couple of weeks back and has got worse, see video link. Someone suggested injector seals, but that's made no difference. Anyone know what this is, please?

I opened this thread as my V50 (2.0) is making a noise which I believe to be from the dual mass flywheel. The noise from mine is irregular and it's easy to locate when listening in the engine bay. Not easy to tell the location from a video but yours's is regular and constant. For what it's worth I don't think it's that.

From the video (inaccurate guess) it's top end , cam if mechanical or irregular fuelling can cause knocking .

Good luck
