Disconnect the battery then leave for 10 minutes for everything to shut down, then remove the plugs from the back of the CCM & radio and remove the entire unit

I don't know about the facelift models but the older ones, radio and ccm come out seperately

is there a way to seperate the two parts maybe ?

Remove the gear lever cover and that will allow you more space to get it out

progress, not sure if you can see but the thermistor is covered in dust and a bit rusty.

ive managed to get it off but unable to push the legs of the replacement through so ordered a solder remover thing coming tomorrow then put fresh solder on and fingers crossed

The hole is minuscule, you might still have a problem feeding the wire through after using the de-solder tool

Should I just fill with solder instead?

I really hope this fix works for you but I can't help feeling the cause of your lack of heating issue may lie elsewhere. The whole CCM system is far too clever for it's own good and needs inputs from several sensors - eg the cold side of the air con needs to read the outside temp sensor in the drivers door mirror.
