Default v40 2013 FM Radio intermittent HISS

I have had this hissing problem for over 1yr and it has gradually got worse. My volvo dealer replaced aerial parts but this didn't help. They think it must be a wiring loom problem but as they are unsure of the cause they don't know where to start.
Has any one else had this problem and had it rectified if so what was the problem and the remedy.
Thanks.

Default Audio Interference Problem

I have just spent time cursing my in-car system. It was firstly giving an interference noise on whatever I selected and then I had no radio output. The problem magically disappeared when I stopped the car and restarted.
The noise has appeared on several occasions recently - but the loss of radio signal was the first time and I was becoming a bit concerned. So I was interested in this thread.
I power my Tom Tom SatNav from the front 12v power socket. I recently changed the unit for a new version (no traffic update costs and continuously updated maps free) and noticed the supply needed for the new one was 5v provided via a plug in the 12v socket - so I assume there is some electronics in there. The previous one appeared to be direct 12v.
Next time it happens, I shall check out the power socket.
PS have you had direct experience of this problem?
Thanks.

Default Audio Interference Problem - Autos stop connection?

My Interference problem continues intermittently.
A couple of days ago, whilst driving I pulled up at a junction and after a few seconds my "eco" engine stopped as normal. When I put my foot on the clutch to restart and move off, my interference started again but this time accompanied by a loud ticking noise (about 2hz)! After a short drive I stopped normally and restarted the engine. Interference gone!
Then for two days my eco stop didn't work at all but has now magically returned and I don't have interference at present.
I do wonder if the auto-stop and my interference are connected somehow? I know the auto-stop has a mind of its own but has never been off for this long before!
Anyone any ideas?

Default Interference back again!

I had an exact repeat yesterday afternoon of my problem.
Start car, drive with interference (inc "clicking"). Declutching on the move makes no difference so stop car and engine. Restart and interference has gone but so has auto engine stop!!
Anybody else experienced anything similar?

Default Turn radio off

Turn radio off then turn it back on and you may find that it stops. I had to do that on my last car (toyota verso) now and again.
