Hi everyone,

Thought I'd share my most recent experience - in support of, and in appreciation of, this thread.

Based on the feedback of this thread, and research conducted, I just purchased a set of 4 Pirelli Scorpion Verde All Season's. They had quite a few to chose from on tirerack.com. I narrowed my choice to only those tires manufactured in the UK. The tires I chose were the P255/50R19, 107W, XL, 600 A A. They were, and still are, retailing for 169.00 US. They have all the four symbols on the side (Noise, Enviro, etc.).
The DOT manufacture date on the tires I received were 4212 - I think that's okay (42nd week - -2012).

All I can say is: they drive beautifully. I only had them installed yesterday (Aug 26, 2014) - so will report back after a while.
One thing I must note: I just checked the tire pressure. It was at a paltry 32 lbs! I think, based on what I've read on this thread, that if I leave the pressure at 32 - I should see a lot of premature usage on my tires. I will increase to 39 lbs ASAP.

Overall though, they are great looking tires. And, although they are currently at 32 lbs - handle better that the Conti's I had prior.

Will keep you posted.

Hi Agallo

Thanks for feedback on those tyres.

I too have ordered 4 of those from camskill(thanks to the forum for directing me towards this supplier) and they should be arriving to my fitter on friday hopefully.

Mine are 235-60-18. I too will run them on 38-40 psi.
I have emailed pirelli direct to get a "straight from the horses mouth "heads up on the Eco tyre pressure situation but as yet (sounds about
right) they have not responded.

Just a word of advice, shell out and get the 4 wheel alignment done aswell as you are re-shoeing your hos it would be silly not to I think dont you?

ATS are doing the 4 corner computer alignment for £63.00 all in you
just have to book which I know sounds a lot of money but the way I
look at it is you are protecting your new investment (I.e.500 squid
worth of new tyres)

As soon as mine are fitted I'm booking it to ats as the fitter cant do 4
wheel computer alignment but fitting, balancing and valves at £10.00
per corner isnt bad in my reckonin.

Keep in touch with the forum and let us know how it goes with those and I too will do the same.
The tyres from camskill are on offer at the moment at £ 116 and some pennies each tyre which I think is exceptional plus postage@£13.00 the lot!

Hi micky 1uk

I too have just come from a v70 with hankook tyres on but they were uhp ventos v12s and I can highly recommend them(on a v70).
They had superb grip in the dry and excellent stopping power in the rain.
I looked at your link to the 33s mate and you need to be aware that they rate them as a summer tyre which was my sole reason for choosing the verdys as they are all season (so you dont have to take them off in the summer).

Hi all
Heres an update on the verdis

They were delivered on friday afternoon to my fitter but too late to fit so I booked them for saturday morning.
Just under an hour later my pride and joy was wearing a new set of wellies all round running at 38psi and I can agree with agello that they are superb and do drive beautifully.
I went straight from there and had them aligned at ats so now just a matter of enjoying them.
Mpg no change yet but I expect that to change within the next 200 miles or so, I'll keep the forum posted.
However on quietness and no roll I think they are very good value for money.
Here's the breakdown

TYRES ORDERED AND SUPPLIED FROM CAMSKILL

£116.00 per tyre plus £2.99 per tyre delivery charge.

£10.00 per corner fitting charge (valve and balance included and tyre disposal)

£32.00 And some pennies to align.

That makes £137.00 per corner all done and dusted.

Pretty damn good IMO!

DERBYBIKER
Whilst I was waiting for my tyres to be fitted I was looking at all the tyres they had there and in the pile delivered with mine was a brand new set of grabbers.
Jesus! the tread on them looks like something spiderman would drive up a sky scraper if he run out of web!!! LOL

Was that a 4 wheel alignment, or just the fronts?
