Default 15th September Great British Car Journey - Ambergate

Don't forget to get a ticket for the Club's first event at the Great British Car Journey in Ambergate on 15th September.

The ticket will cost you £10 on line BUT if you are a Club member we will give you vouchers to the value of £10 effectively making it a free event!

Details of how to get a ticket are in the August Club magazine and also attached.

Thank you, Chris.

This is a good example of a car club that gives something back to it's members in return for their subscriptions - not all of which do that! Indeed, some other clubs actually charge their members to attend national rallies and similar events.

I'm sure that I am not alone when I say that this attitude is appreciated and may even encourage some non-members on the forum to join the VOC.

Linda and I are planning to be there - let's hope that it will be a good day out for all.

Congratulations on a first-class mag as well!

Regards, John.

P.S. I know that I am getting on a bit, but it does bother me that some of the 'Drive Dad's Car' vehicles are models that I had in my youth! J.

Please remember to bring your registration QR code or you will have to pay again.

Also, please remember that members MUST bring their valid VOC membership card to claim the £10 in vouchers.

Thanks for the 'heads up', Jaki. Is there a specific time or assembly point for VOC members?

Linda and I are looking forward to it and will probably arrive between 12 and 1pm for the usual reasons. Let us hope for good weather next week - today has been a bit of a wash-out!

Regards, John.

The event starts at 10.00 which is when the museum opens.

We have exclusive use of the main car park and we will have marshals there to direct people.
