That sounds like it will not fit mine - a 95/6 on an N plate then? Is that the advice? It's useful either way...

I can post this.
I'll have to get a postage price next week though.

My newly born son has turned up 2 months early so I'm in hospital a lot at the moment, I'll let you know a price as soon as I can, I'd imagine somewhere between £10-£15.

Still got this.

Postage would be £10 dependent on location.

Default Not fitted

This duly arrived and Goose was most helpful but it does NOT fit mkII (without much modification) and Maidstone Exhausts advised against it (even though they would have been paid to get it in there) and build me a system to go after it.

So it's now in my garage if anybody wants to buy it off me.

Hi,

Do you still have the downpipe for sale? If so, could you specify, why it wouldn't fit the mkII 960? Is the overall length the same as the oem unit with the welded cat as seen here:

I have a 1996 960 B6304GS (no cat needed) but someone has fitted a downpipe with the cat on it regardless... which I'd like to replace and yours would do the trick nicely provided the dimensions match.

Thanks!

How come your car does not have to have a cat?

I have located a business in Ashford (Kent) that will make me a stainless system with non-restrictive cat, de-cat pipe for swapping in and out, and fit the downpipe, but it will be £750 to have done. In the meantime I am concentrating on my overheating when towing and gearbox reluctance to change down when towing - which is all stopping me saving up for that exhaust pipe!

Default Ps

I know a man in Pluckley (Kent) who has a downpipe that looks as if it might fit if that is of use to you.

Mine's a B6304GS as opposed to FS - meaning non-catalytic.. from what I've gathered it's a variation meant for eastern (i.e. russia) markets where the quality of fuel supposedly wasn't all that good at times and the only difference should be in the ecu and perhaps some wiring (missing O2 sensor wires). And fuel economy :P (I also have a '95 B6304FS 960 which seems to take about 1-2 litres less / 100km than my daily '96)

The daily is a 1996 B6304GS M4.4 but my previous (now parts-) car was '95 M1.8, also B6304GS - so I have a spare M1.8 non-catalytic ECU if anyone's interested...

That would be great if you could find out about the interchangeability with the stock parts and asking price. Thanks!

Lol a friend pointed me back to this thread, the stainless downpipe advertised for sale will not fit any oem 960 exhaust sytem after the downpipe flange without adaptation,as previously stated it has the end flange for adding an aftermarket non oem cat(it linked originally to a cat replacement pipe, being 1992) and the rest to the tail pipe was one off fabbed.
The downpipe advertised will fit all the 960s with the cast manifolds from what i remember (how perfect the bell mouths fit depends on the tolerances of the iron manifold stud spacings/holes)PS it was originally my specced downpipe.
Thats all folks
