Default 370bhp 2003 Volvo S40 T4 for sale

370bhp, 380 ft.lbs (520NM) Volvo S40 T4

After having owned this car for over a year, I feel like it's time for a change. I'm well known on T5D5.org, and the car is too. And once they see this, I know I'm going to get a lot of stick for this advert! All of the work has been carried out by Tim Williams and MRG Volvo, Chippenham. Mechanically, the car is extremely reliable and just works as you'd expect.

I won't list every service that's been done to the car, but in short, if anything needs doing, I get it done ASAP (which usually means within the next day or two!).

It has been dyno'd on two separate occasions, on two different Maha dyno's and on both occasions made 372bhp with 380ft.lbs torque. Just to give you an idea, 60-100 takes ~ 5 seconds, 60-120 ~ 9 seconds. That's as quick (if not quicker) as a E90 M3... you get the picture. Getting the power down is greatly enhanced with a Gripper LSD.

Here is the spec:

2003 Volvo S40 T4
72,000 miles, Manual, 'Silver green', Leather, heated seats, etc...

Engine rebuilt at ~60,000 miles by Tim Williams.

Power (370bhp, 380ft.lbs/520nm torque)
THS con rods + ARP bolts, 'Shimmed' liners, Ported & polished cylinder head, New Volvo Piston Rings, New Volvo Bearings, Brand new KKK-K24 turbo purchased from MRG Volvo at a cost of £800, 3" JT downpipe, 100 cel. racing cat and 3" JT cat-back (2 silencers), ME7 manifold, custom remap (1.5bar to 7000 RPM), Fuel system rebuilt with 8mm stainless braided fuel hose, 550cc RC injectors, Adjustable fuel pressure regulator, Devils' Own Water Injection, KL racing Alloy Intercooler, 80mm MAF->Turbo pipework, Apexi Intake Air Filter

Brakes, suspension & gearbox
8-piston K-Sport front brakes, Gripper differential, 330mm grooved discs, Carbotech XP8 front pads, EBC Red-stuff rear pads, BC "BR" coilovers (~50mm drop), Polybushed front & rear wishbones and control arms, Rear Ultraracing ARB, Rear Ultraracing strut brace, Front Ultraracing strut brace

Wheels + Tyres
17" Volvo VIP alloys in mid-Anthracite, Federal RSRs on the front, Uniroyal Rainexpert II on the rear

Interior
Stack boost gauge, Innovate MTX-L AFR gauge, Stack oil temperature gauge

Exterior
Rear windows tinted (75%), Sills colour coded

There are probably some bits I've missed, and will update ad as and when I remember.

Serious offers around ~£8.5k considered. I have spent far far more than that on getting it to where it is today. Please note that I'm not 100% on selling, but if the right offer comes along, my arm might be twisted. I'm sure the folks at T5D5 are going to convince me otherwise though (yes, you know who you are!) :P

Thanks for looking.

Wow... Awesome T4 !!

Of course... for 8.5K a Skyline would be quite affordable...

I WANT this ha ha - shame I'm skint.

Re: Skyline, yes completely agree. But the look on the banker's face is priceless when a Volvo can hold with an Aston Martin Rapide up to 150 smiles per hour...................

Top speed on a private road was GPS logged at 172.5mph (~6500 RPM in 5th).....

I am open to sensible offers

Got my eye on something else, so willing to accept offers around £7.5k. If this doesn't sell, looks like I'll have to get my spanners out and break it
