Essex Meet Sunday 10th June

Hi,
as arbee was on holiday engineer and myself took it upon ourselves to arrange the next essex meet, all are welcome several names down on VPCUK already.

details are as follows

Sunday the 10th of June 2007 Essex Meet at The Kings Head Pub in North Weald.

Rich is off on holiday probably playing with his under powered ST Focus lol, so in his absence bite the bullet time is the usual place.

For anyone that knew the Talbot, it’s very easy to find - Basically, when you get to the Talbot roundabout you take the B181 (High Road) signposted North Weald. Carry on along this road for around 0.5-1 mile and The Kings Head is on the left-hand side. For anyone else, its approx 5 miles from J7 of the M11

You cant book a table for dinner but they are completely kiddie friendly so we can all eat /drink in the bar area

Sunday the 10th of June at 11.30am onwards guys, hopefully Rich will be back soon and support this complete power mad decision I’ve made lol…………..

ER.. I hate to say this, but the map link won't work for me?? Keeps bringing up a 404 page not found error?

I'll have to check the 10th of June. Does it have to be a 'performance' Volvo or are 10 year old 960's welcome?

Your 10 year old 960 IS a performance car..

all welcome performance or not. I have both a v70T5 and a 240 estate, I've corrected details on VPC http://www.vpcuk.org/forums/showthread.php?t=19775 but I can fix it on here as it wont let me edit

just a quick thanks for IC for allowing this post

I think the date clashes with the CB meet but if you're over this side of the world and the CB is a bit far then come along... should be a decent turn out!

A little bird tells me that the next North Weald Airfield “Run What You Brung Day” is on the 10th June. The airfield coincidently happens to be right opposite the pub, so does anybody fancy a run or two? It’s a £10 entrance fee plus £15 to run (unlimited).

I will be there with my ST3.....279bhp for starters....KU software, full Ferrita system.....hybrid turbo ready and to be fitted and mapped for.

Don thats spooky - I just came on here to pm you to ask if you were coming along to this - I am going to invite some local Focus ST guys (from focusstoc.com) so they may be interested to know you'll be around!

Interesting - not been to an event like that before. Looks like it's just drag racing? Also looks like I might need a crash helmet, anyone know if they have onsite ones to hire?

No pre-booking by the looks, so turn up as late after 9 as you dare and see if they still have spaces?
