Tom - If it was me I would get the tracking etc checked first - cheaper than stuffing your car in a field if another tyre becomes FUBAR'd

KEV240 - sounds like a plan!

I think we could do with re forming a proper 'Scottish Section', I was the Chairman/Secretary/Events Organiser/General Dogsbody a few years ago, but due to the lack of support at the time, I gave it up. Laclan started off on a good footing till he suddenly vanished ! We really need to get together at a central point, (Stirling ??), at the start of the year and get organised, as there are plenty members in Scotland to have a thriving section.
After the Christmas/New Year period is over, perhaps we could plan a meeting.
Cheers,
Kevin.
Sounds like a plan Kevin, do I detect a willing volunteer?

Tom
The edges wear if under inflated but that doesn't sound to be the case given your comments. I would be getting the tracking checked asap.

I agree Kevin that sounds like an excellent idea. Think that Stirling would be a central area for most to get to.

I don't know the Stirling area could one of you more Northern folk find a suitable location, a good pub we can sit down with a pie and pint and have an impromptu meeting.

How do we communicate to the membership? Ask the board to mailshot every member in Scotland?

It might be easier for most to get too the north side of Stirling....Dunblane maybe but I am quite happy wherever it happens..I don't know either in terms of eateries/drinkeries does anybody?

The old 'Scottish Volvo Club' used to meet at the Pirnhall Inn, Stirling which was suitable for a meet/snack or a meal, with plenty of car parking. The Holiday Inn at Springkerse is also a suitable venue, any other ideas/venues ? When a date/venue is decided we advertise it in the relevant 'Driver' magazine which is issued before the meeting, the meet will obviously be discussed on the forum, so there will be no excuse for 'not being told about it', it will just be a case of seeing who will turn up then.
I know it is a bit far away yet, but could I suggest either the first Sunday in February or the first Sunday in March, which ever one coincides with the 'Driver' publication date, in the hope to gain a good attendance.
Any more ideas ??
Kevin

Question

Sunday 1st March would fit in with the February issue of 'Driver', details could be posted in this issue to obtain maximum coverage, along with Forum notification. It would not really be practical to have this meeting before then due to the publication date of the 'Driver', not everyone has access to a computer, and the magazine is the only way of informing them. I know it is impossible to please everyone with dates due to work/holiday/family issues, but I think the 1st March would be better with regards to weather etc, for members travelling any distance, please let your thoughts be known !!!
Thank you,
Kevin
