  • VOC Members: There is no login facility using your VOC membership number or the details from page 3 of the club magazine. You need to register in the normal way

It being a lovely spring day, I gave the RB (and GAM) a good spring clean inside and out today. The RB really does scrub up well:







I knew that sunroof would come in handy one day:

Is that a Derbyshire saying Andrew?

They have some rum sayings in Derbyshire, Alan, a newcomer often has need of an interpreter.

They 'mash' tea and 'mend' the fire when it has burnt low. The local lead mining industry, particularly, had a language of it's own. Some of this remains in use to this day among older residents, but Andrew's 'shilling on a sweep's bum' is a new one on me!

Rather appropriate, though, I think!

It’s true. If I digress into Derbyshire vernacular, I am incomprehensible to most. At 67 , I am pretty much the last of the breed.

Estuary crap 💩, gets everywhere, alas.
