Change of plans on this I'm afraid guys - there's someone willing to take this on as a project, so won't be breaking it after all! Sorry for the disruption.

That's not a problem, it would be nice to see another one saved.
Thank you for letting us know.

I do indeed have one and only one, check your wiring first as it gets very oxidised. Remove the plug from the sensor and inspect the wiring closely and the pins in the plug for oxidation. The last one I did that had this issue had about 10 inches of black and green wire running up it so I ended up cutting the wires off inside the boot and soldering a whole new length of wire in to the plug.

Hi 360 beast.
Tbh I haven't got under the car, but I had an auto electrician round who said it needed a new sensor, so I hope he knew what he was doing! I actually had him round to fix my alternator, which he hasn't been able to do as he says he can't get a new rectifier module for it. So now I'm getting really confused looking for a replacement alternator too. They seem to come in 12v and 14v - in 65, 80 or 100A. According to the info on my knackered Bosch one - part number 3544624 that one is 14v at 65amps but sourcing one is problematic! Are you looking to sell one of those too? Please give me a call on 01202 395404 Cheers Russell F |
