My old C70 T5 GT never did that, that was only good for 250kph though, i read the comments on there to find more info and someone says lift off oversteer?

I have never driven or owned a C70 but would suggest if you drive at those sorts of speeds what can you seriously expect !!!!

Very calm collected response by chummy at the wheel though. I don’t think he was too impressed by one of his countrymen poodling along in what he considered to be his lane !

They are correct. It's cus the guy slammed on his brakes at 250kph, changed direction at the same time and as a result threw the weight and balance of the car off. It makes the back go light and if your not careful and don't control it you will end up pointing the way you just came

One of the hazards of a front wheel drive car, but why he wasn't thinking ahead and being in the outside lane is beyond me. You have to be sooo careful at those speeds on the autobahn.

Just change the nut behind the steering wheel. Problem solved.

V that is another way of putting it !

What struck me (despite only having watched it once ) he appeared not to secure his seatbelt . I suppose it could be argued at that rate of knots it will not save him anyway !

Different forces come into play at higher speeds, most obvious being aerodynamics which affects roadholding but also things like rebound speed on the suspension, a road car would be built to behave at 'normal' road speeds not twice normal speed so going there is a gamble. I did some work for VW in the past which included being able to drive cars at high speed on a private track, the Passat had some weird habits above 120mph but the Polo behaved admirably on the occasion I had to emergency stop from over 100mph. But that was also on a private track not a public road where all the other idiots were allowed to bimble along.

He does put it on, or at least you see him pull it across. From memory it is after he starts to move.

I have only watched it once but as I knew it was going to be about someone going fast it was something I particularly looked out for as I didn't know how it was going to end!
