Default 440 S colour code 240-51

Hi,

I'm new here and I'd like to say "hello" to everyone.
I've just bought a 1995 440 S as a replacement for my old 440 who got smashed in an accident last month. I'm thinking about fitting a spoiler into the new car but I'm unsure about his colour code. The VIN plate says it's 240-51 but I've compared it with pictures of other cars in this colour and it doesn't seem to match. 240-51 is Forest Green but my car is in more blueish shade than that. I'm thinking it might have been repainted as the paintwork is in excellent condition as for a car of that age.
Does anyone know whether this colour is actually Forest Green or maybe someone have got a Volvo in the same colour as mine?
(It looks more blue on pictures than it really is)
Thanks!
Renata

Default colour codes

if you go to the home page, scroll down menu to the technical section, you will then be able to scroll down to colour codes, all information is there.
240 is listed as forrest green and applicable to the s/v 40 range

The paint code 240-51 is a two part code - the 240 refers to the colour described as Forest Green the 51 refers to the particular shade. This could be why it looks different to other Forest Green cars

That might explain it. Thanks a lot
