Default 2011 V60 drive e R design Help needed!!

Hi folks, my lad's V60 has had a new clutch and DM flywheel fitted yesterday at an independent garage, but they couldn't get it to start last night, so they charged the battery overnight, checked the starter motor-all good, but still no joy.
So now the gearbox is back out to check the parts are correct and all seems correct, but the mechanic says he has tried to turn the engine over manually but it is locked solid, seems very strange to me.
Has anyone got any ideas on potential problems? no one has messed with any timing parts so how not sure how the engine could be seized unless something has failed internally, all was running fine before clutch replacement.
Any help much appreciated.
