Default Smith's tachy back cap

Hi everyone,
I was just wondering if anyone who is lucky enough to have a Smith's tachy would mind sending photos and measurements of the back plate that covers the rear? I'm hoping to have a new one 3d printed as at some point mine went missing and I haven't seen any spares online!
Thank you!

Hi,

I should have a NOS tach in a box somewhere, I will pull it out later and send pics and measurements. As a return would you be able to get an extra cap made up as my other one is damaged. Do you need the wiring instructions also as I think they are also in the box.

I've got a 70's era one from an 1800E here, will pics of that be any use?

I'm guessing the tach in question is the 123GT type. That is actually a Smiths one with a Volvo clock face.
It's very difficult to measure the diameter of the cap. I make it fraction under 57mm but the edge of the cap has a small taper which slopes up from the max diameter. Measure the case. It also has a slight dome to the cap which you would describe as an ultra shallow cone. Height of cone about 5mm. Internally there is moulded cross like stiffener. The cap itself is only about 2mm thick. The surface finish is the same as the main body of the tach. It is best if it can be made a bit hollow to clear the wiring and connections. The cap sits recessed into the body by about 0.5mm. Photos possible if you need them. As said get some extras made. You will probably be doing a few before you are happy with the result anyway. You don't see it when fitted and most won't know what it looks like!

Thank you everyone for your replies with measurements and photos!
Will try and render a 3d model for it and will then upload it, it will be my first attempt so apologies in advance if it takes a while or isn't successful. If it works I will try and upload the file so people can print/ have printed etc as not sure if I will be able to get multiples printed! Will keep people updated!

If it's successful could potentially try 3d modelling some other simple parts which are getting hard to find! But that's probably a way off for now

Sure, if you upload a file I can ask the guys in the mens shed to print one up for myself. All the best.
