XC90 2011 2.4D5 Manual, starts and runs perfect and pulls no problem and no error codes however when going down a steep hill without needing to use accelerator it feels like it is missing a little bit, can't hear it from road noise but you can feel it in the car as if it would be missing a bit, happens around 60mph going downhill without needing power, if you push in clutch pedal it freewheels without any miss feeling and idles away fine.
No error codes or any other signs.

Not had a timing belt since new so have replaced that but still the same

This is pure speculation but,

When coasting downhill in gear, the engine is being driven by the inertia of the car. The fuel flow should be zero. If an injector has a slight leak, allowing a small amount of fuel into the cylinder it might cause an occasional power stroke, giving the feel of a misfire.

It's just a theory.

That suggestion is off on a tangent Greg but you may well be onto something👍
