Default Fibre Optic Specialist in North for dead Radio/CD/Nav ?

Hi everyone. Quite recently acquired my first Volvo - it's a pretty well specced 06 V50 SE Sport and after a bit of TLC drives really well. The problem is the CD, Radio, Nav and Park Assist is non responsive. I'm aware theres a daisy chain fibre optic system connecting these components and it needs a specialist to ID the problem. I'm also aware of some great specialists in the South East but living near Bolton this is a logistical problem. Anyone know of someone in North West who could help?

Does the climate control display work?
Does the radio come on at all, does turning the radio on change anything on the climate control display?

If it's all completely dead, then I'd check the fuses first, otherwise find someone with VIDA to read the fault codes on the ICM. That should tell you if there is a problem with the fibre optics, or if it is one of the modules causing problems.

Climate control works and displays temp, airflow etc. CD and radio display is intermittent/flashes but most buttons are inoperable and sound is dead including Park assist beeps (I think it engages sensors based on screen display) . I can hear the CD player trying to load. So there's power to the ICM and in other units. When talking to the guy at Volvo diagnostics he has adamant that VIDA scans wouldn't identify the issue...
