You are definitely NOT lacking wheels!😂

I'm also waiting for several bits through the post Alan, including a new thermostat for my 760! Not nice with the weather as cold as it is at the moment!

It was a really frosty morn. GAM hadn’t been used for a week or so and struggled to start. We did get going after two long spins, but everything seemed to be going round a little bit slow. After a few miles run to the grocery store everything seemed okay, but it struggled to start again 15 minutes later after I’d picked up the shopping, but we did get home without any more problems.

I’ve left the battery on renovation mode with my CTEK charger all day, and the motor did start promptly afterwards, but I think the fitted Hankook RV battery (really for a boat or a caravan) is a bit past its best. I don’t know how old the fitted battery is, so I’ve ordered a new 70Hh 069 size one, which should be here by Tuesday. To my surprise the new battery was less than £60 delivered.

I have in the past have had issues with batteries (car and bike) after a cold snap.
Could this be a root cause ?

After some quick research , batteries can loose 30 to 60% of their power in sub zero conditions.

I’ve been a bit suspicious about that battery for a little while, we’ll see if a new one sorts it out next week.

GAM started up quite easily this frosty morn. Perhaps the renovation mode on the CTEK charger did some good, or maybe it is just that the motor was run up yesterday? I'm still happy to invest in a new battery, I rather suspect the one fitted was by David (the PO) when he bought the motor car 13 years ago.

I suspect the desulphation part of the CTEK charging procedure probably helped a bit too. You can buy desulphators quite cheaply for permanent installation.

http://extralifepulse.com/

Cheaper to buy from the seller direct as they offer free P&P but charge P&P on ebay sales. At least that was the case, haven't checked to see if it has changed though.
