Default C30 and the radio amateur!

Thank you to the admin for letting me join! I get my ‘new to me’ Volvo C30 T5 on Monday and as a licensed radio amateur (or radio ham!) am hoping to fit at least a VHF/UHF transceiver in the car and maybe an HF rig as well. Apologies if this has been asked before but any tips or handy helpful hints from any other radio amateurs on fitting a radio transceiver and most particularly an aerial mounting would be helpful. The big question must be is the ‘shark fin’ actually an aerial (as I believe the car radio aerial is in the side window glass) and if so can it be removed to allow fitting a ‘DV’ aerial mount and route the co-ax feed through to it?!
Thanks!

The shark fin is used for the satnav, if not fitted it is just decorative.
