General: C70 6 speed gearboxes

HI there all, bit of a nooby question I suppose but I'm just wondering what cars had a 6 speed gearbox?

I've been looking at petrol models in the UK and as far as I can tell the only six speed manual was in the T5 models and have been told that the auto boxes are all 5 speeds. Is that true?

TLDR; What cars are i'm likely to find a 6 speed manual or automatic gearbox

2.0d has a 6 speed power shift gearbox but you would need to tread very carefully to find a good one as they are known to be fragile because of missed maintenance fluid should be changed every 50k and its abt £250 to do it.if you search wickipiedia an look for c70 all the info you may need is on there.

I have a 2008 C70 D5 with a manual 6 speed box. I went for the manual D5 as it was good on mpg and pulls like a train when the torque kicks in....D5 engine has been great (162,000mile) as has the gearbox....just the rest of the car can be problematic.

thanks very much for that, just out of curiosity what other problems do you tend to have with the car and how easy/hard are they to attend to?

I had a D3 C70 with a 6 speed manual gearbox. Good mpg, but tbh, the gearbox was about the only reliable thing on the car…
