Hi there just joined and myself and my son are just starting a mild Kustom on a 68 120 2 dr.
The car is a good base but has had a lot of welding so would never be a show winner so we (I ) decided to help him making a Kustom out of it as these cars are a crackin shape.
I done one over 20 yrs ago so I thought about time I built another, over the years I have owned 2 x 123GTs (first one I bought when I was 17 and didn't know what it was or worth and sold it to a guy for Classic Saloon Racing)
I paid £200 for it and this guy saw it at my garage and asked if I would take £500 for it so I sold it straight away then found out how rare these were.

2nd GT I pulled out a barn on a farm up here in Scotland as I was buying a 131 2 dr at the time and the farmer asked to you want another one for the taking ,so I said ok ,that car had been parked up for 15yrs at the time in a leaky byre and was rotten but after a tow with the tractor fired up and drove on my trailer ( Broke that car up for parts )

3rd car 131 2 dr which was needing work so I ended up doing my first Kustom with that ,Roof chopped, lowered,Frenched lights ,Kustom grill and rear wheel arches, grey primer paint etc ( sold it to a friend who painted it then a week after he finished it he was ran into at a junction and the car was written) off )..

4rth Amazon 68 2dr again this car is good but is not worth restoring as you can still buy plenty of nice examples so it is receiving a few kustom touches
shall try to post some pics soon Cheers Andy

First 3 pics are my old car 131,next are the current one and last pic is a photo shop on how we would like it to looks Cheers Andy and Andrew

Nice work on the rear wheel arch spats , the line of the sill and the slight flare of the lip makes it look very professional , top job that man !

Very nice! I like the colour scheme in the photo shop one. Those hub caps: Buick perhaps, mid fifties?

Cheers guys
Austingipsy the rear arches on my car were (VW Camper Bay window model)
I built that car 20 yrs ago out of a single lock up at the end of my street and any time I had to work on it had to push it 500 meters to and fro to my drive way(local kids were always about).

Alf ista the wheel trims were sourced in the states by Speedway motors do all sorts of Kool stuff.

John H been following your work on the other channel RR ,your a talented boy and love your car .

Been resisting temptation to chop this one or lower the rear arches as it is supposed to be for my son when he passes his test in a few years and will keep most of it stock so i can insure it ok..Andy.
