Problems with LPG conversion
There a number of threads going about problems with LPG conversions.
I had a 960 turbo in for conversion a couple of months ago but the engine was running lean on petrol. Because I knew the guy very well I decided to go ahead and convert the car. Anyway the conversion went well and I got the car to run a lot better on gas compared to petrol. About a month later the airflow meter was replaced and the car then ran well on petrol and still good on gas. Less than a week later the car came back to me running poorly on gas so I remapped and all was well for another week. Problems again three days later???????????????? Any back the car came. After a couple of minuates looking I found a vachume pipe split on end and off the other. I replaced the pipe and now the car runs better than ever on both fuels. Lesson is vachume pipes do not last for ever and moct often problems with lpg conversions can often be down to the car. Dai |
