Default What colour?

Just ordered a new XC60 for delivery May/June time, still haven't decided on what colour just yet, present one is Chameleon Blue.

I have managed to acquire a few stone chips over the last couple of years of ownership, it kills me every time I see the lighter undercoat shining through on the occasional sunny day we have. As the Chameleon Blue is no longer an option, I now have to decide on another colour.

What colour do you have and how has the paint stood up to flying bits of road etc hitting your pride and joy?

On my lowish mileage XC60 I have acquired some minor chips on the alloys, but nothing I have noticed on the paint work. Have you got mudflaps fitted (on the car that is )?

Savile Grey. Nearly 12,000 miles. No stone chips at all in that time. It's a very classy looking colour.

My XC60 is Inscription silver. Even after only 6 months I have a small chip on the bonnet. It is invisible unless you know it's there. The beauty of the Inscription silver is the way it looks different in different light, which marks it out from the normal silver. My last car was also silver. It is extremely good-natured and keeps its appearance well, in my opinion.

A possible downside is that silver is extremely popular (common). That in itself tells you something about its practicality. If you want to stand out from the crowd and make a statement, go for Hello Yellow. (The statement would be "I've got no taste" )

No, but then the stone chips are on the bonnet and roof just above the windscreen, don't suppose mudflaps would have prevented them!

Those are the colours I'm favouring at present, although earning the money, I do not wear the trousers on this decision, or many other decisions come to think about it......

If its R Design its got to be white.

I would not have another black one as marks, dirt and swirls show for fun!

Have you considerd the Ocean Race blue colour?

agree, i can see swirls on mine close up. even so, i think the colour is great. it's got a very good metallic sheen to it.

Hi Darbs

Have had a few black cars previously and they looked great.XC60 looks great in black.

Ive always had a bit of a penchant for white cars although people say they show the dirt.I followed a white R Design a few months ago for a good few miles on the motorway and thought how great it looked in white (whilst at the same time kicking myself for not going for white again)

I think a white se lux doesnt however quite cut the mustard as well as a black one though.

Regards

It's not the R-Design, it's another SE-Lux, which limits the choice of available colours by a few.
