Hi All,
Volvo S80 2.5D 2001. Getting a spurious low level audible alarm from somewhere.

No warning lights, dash error messages, car runs fine, brakes OK.

All I can find is the warning tone stops when the brake pedal is pressed and the STC button does not turn off the STC function.

So after reading about previous faults here, I think I should have a look at the ABS Module for dry joints etc.

Before I start can the module be removed without removing the brake pipes and would a secondhand Module be compatible.

Any other suggestions warmly received, although it's an old car and if I have to spend over £1000 pounds on parts without any Guarantee of success, I'd rather either just leave the fault or scrap the car if it gets worse.

No need to remove brake pipes, ABS controller is separate from the hydraulic unit. Any decent specialist can fix the unit for you.
