Unhappy 940 no start - no fuel pressure - new fuel pump

Engine cut out while driving, then refused to start.

Pro garage checked car, verified spark, diagnosed as bad fuel pump (this car has just one in-tank pump)

I've just replaced the fuel pump, can hear it cycling, tested pump at pump, does pump fuel.

Replaced fuel filter.

Used pressure gauge at rail, 0 pressure. Checked pressure under car before filter, 0 pressure.

Am now stumped. Helppppp!!!

Steve,
What year model is your 940 , the only thing I can think of is there maybe a crimped feed pipe,?.

I've just been playing with the fuel pump on my car. They are pretty hard to get into the tank correctly I don't suppose it is positioned wrong ?
Other than that I would say that whatever the original fault was is still there. Have you tried the original pump to see what that does out of the car ?
As Mister T suggests it must be something to do with the fuel pump, either blocked or crimped. There are rubber bits on each end of the metal fuel pipe. This runs quite close to the rear subframe so it's possible it's been squashed. There is a bit of flexable pipe in the tank, it's possible that it could have split where it joins the pump and outlet fittings.

Hi,

Might also be worth checking the relay as well. JIC
