Default Trailing arm bushes

Hi All,

I've owned my 240 for 13 years it handled quite well it failed it's MOT in the summer so I got the trailing arm bushes replaced and got an MOT all was well. However have never driven my car with intact trailing arm bushes I didn't know what to expect.

Do 240's normally roll when cornering even at low speeds?

The handling has been transformed but not really for the batter or should I leave my opinion open for the next 6 months or so while they settle or bed in?

Any advice or observations would be appreciated.

Regards

Scott

Check that the rear anti-roll bar is there, and that the bolts securing it are tight. You could also make sure that the front anti-roll bar bushes and the end links look okay. The condition of the other bushes at the rear make a big difference to handling, but when they're bad on a 240 (as I've let them get before) the handling becomes nervous and unpredictable -- they don't make a noticeable difference to body roll as far as I've experienced. When a shock absorber failed and lost its oil on my wife's Toyota there was increased body roll -- how old are the shock absorbers?
