Default Trusty Indie Mechanic Needed in the South East

I am on the look for a trusty independent mechanic - ideally looking for someone who has specialized/delt with a few 850's / V70's as opposed to a garage who specialises in volvo's in general. I live in berkshire/reading way but happy to travel to anywhere in the south east (up to 1 1/2 hours)

Reason I am looking for someone who is good with 850's is purely as I am getting the sense that my usual garages don't see enough 850s to give good advice if I need to replace something or not, they are just not sure (happy to get better advice on which garage to see as well!)

My last mechnaic was brilliant - he essentially saved me £££'s by just saying - I wouldn't waste my money here, I would do this etc...and after getting a second opinion initially he never was wrong...sadly he does not specialise/wants anything to do with my 850 and is 2+ hours away!

There's a vast number of pre-2000 Volvos on the road in and around the Chesham/ Amesham area. As you enter the towns on busy days, you're bound to see at least one. Whereas anywhere else, you could go a month.

Chesham is not such a stretch from you. I can only put it down to a thriving independent there. Used them once, but frankly I do my own work. Try:

I've been wrong before yet aside from BPC, in the SE anyway - does what you seek still exist?

I believe D&A Autos in Witney are very good with 850s. I haven’t used them (sold my 850 last year), but I’ve read good reviews of them on here. I think they were previously a Volvo dealer.
