200 Series General Forum for the Volvo 240 and 260 cars

  • VOC Members: There is no login facility using your VOC membership number or the details from page 3 of the club magazine. You need to register in the normal way

Primrose? I would have said more pale buttercup and the oxy-torch would definitely go through it like a knife through butter, mainly because rust is no match for that kind of heat! I think it's held together by the paintwork to be honest, having been abandoned in someones garden for nearly a decade.

I have to confess, if i had the money, space, time and a suitable workshop, i'd probably buy it but only to find out how bad it really is!

That said, if i had that sort of money and wanted a V8 Volvo, i daresay i could pick up a reasonably tidy S80 V8 with MoT for similar money and save myself a lot of work!

That is interesting. I suppose I could have the money, space and time to do this one - but I still wouldn’t touch it with a barge pole. I still think it is worth £600 of my money.
