If your car requires this then additive kit can be purchased from Volvo. It includes hoses and fluid to top up tank.

However I would not recommend you do it yourself. It reqires getting under car attaching tubes and then trying to get stuff into tank. Additive will probably end up all over you and it's a fairly harmful substance.

Even after all that, the car still requires that software is reset by Volvo dealer .

just to clear the advert, this is the additive kit, including the bottle of additive and hoses etc to refill.
once completed the car does need software reset at either an independent or volvo dealer.

according to haynes you stop filling as soon as additive flows through the level control port. then proceed to mop up the mess that may well have occured.
it is probably not that expensive to get the dealer to do it for you as it only requires raising the car and de/attaching a couple of tubes.

the level is topped up by gravity until it leaks out into the supplied drain bottle, then the control module requires resetting back to full, the dealer should not charge more than 0.5 hour.

In case you intended to have a go but by no means recommended.

Topping up the additive tank

Preparatory work
Clean any dirt from the fuel filler pipe.

Topping up the additive tank
Note! Avoid contact with the skin and protect the eyes.
Diesel additive must not come into contact with the painted surfaces of the car.
Diesel additive can run out when removing the quick-release connectors.
Remove the plug (quick-release connector) for the diesel additive (a) level control pipe. Connect the hose (quick release connector) to a container.
Place the container in a suitable position beneath the car.
Remove the plug (quick-release connector) for the diesel additive (b) fuel filler pipe. Connect the hose to the container with diesel additive.
Place the container higher than the additive tank.
Fill the tank until the diesel additive begins to run through the pipe for level control.
Remove the hose with the two quick-release connectors and Install the two plugs.

Finishing
After topping up the additive tank, the tank level counter must be reset.
