looking for computer and fuel sensor am in kenya plz help
hi my name is john from kenya i use volvo v40 and car need another computer coz it is failing to start my machanicer saying nozol failing to realise fuel and no spacks on plag meaning the computer is failing to realise signal my car can't start anymore plz help

I would doubt this is the ECU/computer, there are other things to test.
Does the starter motor turn over at all (does it try to start but not start?) If no to the above, here are some possibilities: Starter motor relay. Wiring loom under radiator. Ignition barrel switch. Battery. Has the mechanic tried to see if any of this is at fault? Or has he just said the computer/ECU is faulty?

First of all, what year is the car? What is the engine size and engine model?
If it is indeed the ECU computer that is faulty, then can your mechanic program it? As far as I know, only Volvo can program it to the car. In that case, you might be better off getting a complete lockset (ECU, immobiliser, keys, steering wheel lock barrel, door lock barrel, boot lock barrel) and just swap everything. This way, you will not have to do any programming at all. You just need to make sure it is from the same car with the same engine type But as others have mentioned, there could be other things also causing this problem.
