Electrical problems following an alternator belt failure
I have a 2010 V70 mk5 that has recently had an alternator belt break, following this, everything on the car died except the engine which enabled me to very slowly park safely and await breakdown.
The only way I could stop the engine was to stall it. Since having the belt replaced, I have lost all electrics to the rear doors 1. Central locking doesn’t operate rear doors ( the only way of locking is to manually lock by depressing the lock button and doing the reverse to unlock) 1a. When locking the car, the lights no longer flash to confirm 2. Door opening levers inside car do not open doors 3. Child safety locks do not operate 4. Electric windows don’t operate and the switches don’t light up Everything else on the car is working fine, can anyone help me with this problem please? |
