I removed my pillar trims (grey) and recovered them with this stuff ( again in grey). Not a perfect match but enough of a contrast to look oe.

My 2006 XC70 A pillars began to shed the fabric - so I sourced a couple of A pillars from an earlier (2004 ish or earlier) V70 in the same colour (beige) that aren’t covered in fabric for a few pounds at a breakers yard.
I assume if you recover the originals they won’t look ‘original’ and will probably start to peel off again anyway.

No peeling of mine yet, they've been on for at least four years.

As above, i removed mine from car, cleaned them off, and using Trim Fix Glue, (used by folks to carpet the rear of their vans) i recovered them in a black plaether, think it was about £10 from eBay, now if anything i think they look better than the original fabric, and can now simply be polished when i do the dash.
