Exclamation S40 2.0D Charge air pipe

Hi all,

I have a leak from the intercooler pipe that runs to the front and centre of the manifold. ( I have the volvo part number) Volvo want £130 for a new one, I can see cheap ones online for £30/40 mark but does anyone know anywhere I can get one off the shelf rather than waiting??

Thanks!
p.s its a 58plate S40 2.0D

I tried to get some samco no joy so I got that pipe you want off Amazon £30 the other day was here in 2days and I glued and taped my old one up while it came.
I wasn't paying volvo prices, I replaced both with pattern parts.

Thanks mate, new pipe has just arrived, did you have to remove bumper to change it? Looks pretty tight where it goes down to intercooler or did you go underneath the car?

Remove the bumper liner, it's a straight-forward procedure and will make changing that pipe so much easier. There is no more access from below than there is from above.

Yeah took it off as I couldn't get on the clips, easy to be honest.
Mine threw a high boost code after I started it, tried to erase no joy, went for a spin no boost the joys.
Turned it off and back on cleared itself, I was about to rip bumper back off.

Just wondered if the variable vanes on the turbo were stuck a bit after being on max for a while

Well it's been running in this poor state a good month due to work and the wife needed it for work Iain and it got to the stage where I had to sort it or the eco police would have sent me to prison.....it's ok now thankfully.
