'09 C30 1.6 petrol manual doesn't rev match on up-shifts
Hi everyone.
I've noticed my girlfriends C30 doesn't hold the revs from falling to idle like my car does. I know they are very different, so I was hoping that someone with the same engine could confirm this is normal behaviour? In case I've not been clear - on my car when you change up, the revs drop to where they need to be for the next gear and hold there for a few seconds before falling to idle- this makes smooth changes very easy. |

Unless you have a very modern car, the revs will drop to idle eventually, it's not instant but it will happen

Mine's a 2006 V70 and has a noticeable and accurate hang at the correct position for the next gear - do the C30's not have this at all then?

Not that I'm aware of, my V50 doesn't do it either, the revs will drop but you do have to wait a fair while. Can't say I've ever noticed a problem when changing gear, it's easy to match the revs yourself in any case.

Fair enough sounds like this is the correct behavior for a C30.
Its not a problem to drive without obviously, but it is a nice feature - Im surprised it was dropped. |
