Putting my Volvo S60 on the market. Below is my draft advert that I will be putting on Ebay/Autotrader in the next couple of days. I thought I run this first via the Volvo Community. I dont have any recent photos. But I will add some once I get a full valet done in the next couple of days.

You are looking at 2002 2.0T Volvo S60.

This vehicle has been owned by me since 2005 and have I've made a number of custom modifications to the vehicle- the full list is below.
P2 S60’s are rare cars now and this particular one will stand out. Its not a R but its different.

I have looked after since ownership in 2005 and was hoping to keep it as long as I could, I celebrated its 100,000miles a couple f years ago which is nothing for volvos and unfortunately ULEZ London Expansion next week has forced me to find a new home for it.

This car is outstanding long distance cruiser – With a relative good fuel economy.

With the wheel & suspension modifications and stiffer sway bars it’s eats up corners with no issues in those long country road drives which I thoroughly enjoy.

The car is nearly 20 years and is starting to show its age, it’s far from perfect but a pleasure to still drive it even if it has a few unexplained knocking noises coming from somewhere. In terms of body work, its still relative good, however the lacquer paint on the roof side trims are peeling off. It has picked up a number small car park door dents and a few small minor dents when someone probably done a hit and run whilst I wasn’t around. There was some damaged done to the near side rear door after my neighbor accidently reversed into it. But apart from that the car has never been in an accident. The door was repaired by it wasn’t never the same again to me.

Interior wise, its still okay, the leather seats have taken a bit of a beating. The driver seat is torn on its side which I heard is an typical issue for this age of vehicle and model. Cracks are starting to appear on other areas of the seats. The cup holder is broken and there is slight tear on the handbrake – apart from that its still good. A full restoration of the leather seats could help. At one point I wasn’t going to swap them for some newer seats.


Mechanical wise this vehicle has been well maintained – Recent health checks by Volvo last December 2020 didn’t flag any big issues other than one of the O/S Tire was getting low on thread. The majority of the life of this vehicle was self-serviced and maintained. This car was never abused and has been a family run car since ownership.
