Out of interest, does anyone know if the 12 months starts from the time of purchase or when this first goes online? I assume the latter, but want to make sure, as my current SIM doesn't run out for a few months, but a 10 quid saving would be worth getting this now.

From time of activation, i.e. when you first put the sim in to a device and turn it on.

Mine actually ran out on Saturday as that was 12 months since I activated it. Until this thread today, I had completely forgotten I would need to replace it. Or do I? I'm not sure I've used it at all given the 12 months we have had.

Assuming normal use of a car over 12 months, what size sim would people recommend? I do not use Spotify, all music is on my ipod. Would you agree the 12GB is more than adequate?
