Default Water

Hi this is my first post as I am new to this ! but I have owned Volvo's exclusively since 1973, I now have a V70 T5 and an XC 70 SE

My V70 T5 keeps getting water on the passenger side carpet in a central position in front of the seat, I have checked the door seal and that is fine, I had the heater matrix replaced and it has been pressure tested and that seems fine, I have checked the sun roof drains and they checked out.

I have now dried the carpet out twice and still get the water back so it must be more than residual.

Does anyone have any ideas before I go nuts

Thanks

Have you cleaned the scuttle drains? They block and it floods in through the pollen filter and pools where yours is on the floor.

Also check for shrinkage around the top of the windscreen seal, esp the corner.
It can run down behind the trim.

Open the bonnet and look at the plastic panel beneath the windscreen. There is a drain at either side on the edge nearest the front of the car. The pipes head down by each arch and are easily unclipped and blown through. Or you can just blow them through without removing the pipes if you have a compressor.
