Default sticky rear brake pads

hi all

for a long time i was wondering why my rear brakepads were eaten up so quickly and finally figured out that they are sticking and not releasing after each braking. now the pads are eaten up to the metal and my poor V60 sounds like a fighter jet passing by.

any ideas why this happens and how avoided ??

thanks

Electronic parking brake not retracting fully.
Caliper piston sticking.
Caliper sliding mechanism sticking.
Deteriorated fluid.

Whichever it is, you need to get in there and do some inspecting and whilst you prioritise the worst side, make sure both sides receive attention.

Simple competent diy stuff but may appear daunting if it's new to you.

This video will give you a good insight into what to expect.
