Default Service History, what to look for?

Hi,

I am going back to look at a V70 2.5 10v CD Auto/Est (R Plate) on monday after it returns from a full valet, the salesman has said it has service history.

It's covered 101,000 miles, if it turns out that it's not a full service history what are the important things to look for ie. what should have been done at roughly what mileage?

Cam Belt at 80,000

Brake and coolant fluids at 2 year intervals.

Oil changes at 10,000 mile intervals

If automatic, take a good look at the colour of the fluid.
If not redish look for poor changes and/or coolant contamination due to the radiator leaking into the auto transmission oil cooler.

Check to see that AC is working properly this can be expensive to repair.

It's easy to remove the air filter lid (spring clips) have a look at the condition of the filter, it may give you some clues as to how well it's been maintained.

Definately number one priority is cambelt changes.
Secondly i'd be watching oil changes as described
Look for any extraodinary servicing or parts changes. These can tell a story as to the car's life at the hands of the previous owner.
