You've replaced everything with quality components, so I'm going down the random route for you.

Exhaust knock ? Steering column ?

For what it's worth, I had a similar annoying experience but with air suspension on a previous Audi where I replaced absolutely everything but it still failed - I never got to the bottom of it despite 2 respected Audi specialists and multiple visits. I traded it in at a Volvo dealer while it was still working.

Many thanks…

Is really annoying, but livable with as advised is safe - though with others contacting me about a similar issue think as u suggest loose steering column etc

Cheers

Still haven't got to the bottom of this damn knocking noise.
Wanted to try & get to the cause without just chucking money at the car willy nilly.
Exhaust checked, springs checked.
I took it to Kwik Fit & they reckon the shocks are ok, but is there any way of testing them- like removing them completely?

You have to remove them off the car to test them properly. If you leave them on the car, there’s no real way to test them because the weight of the vehicle is on them.

If the car crashes over bumps, nose dives when you brake or wobbles over uneven surfaces… its likely shocks. Replace the top mounts too when doing the shocks.

Oh, stay away from Kwik Fit. Biggest shower of crooks going.
