Default V40 - The Movie

So, is the V40 in with a chance against the other hatches?
Does it have any USP at all in order to win more than 1.6% brand market share?
And is it overpriced, underpowered and out classed...

These are all the questions I had before begining this little movie.

Shall we find out?

My Volvo experience hasn't exceeded expectation... Both my V50 and S60 have been troublesome friends but I love the comfort and layout of them so I'm going to continue with running Volvo.
Having driven various V40's my only gripe is the rear seat. My V50 can get three kiddy seats across the rear seat. My previous Honda Civic could also take three child seats in the back but the V40 which is in the same class will only fit two seats. For a family car I consider that an unfortunate handicap. This is the reason I won't be buying one and it's either going to be the V60 or XC90. For the Mrs a V40 would be ideal but sadly not due to the above reasons. I'm my view they've tripped up on that score compared to the likes of Honda Civic.

To drive, they nice and the D4 R design goes like a rocket it's a shame we're never going to buy one.
