Default Bumpers and plastics wizards

Hello.
My 2004 XC70 has the blue bumpers and plastics all around. I was told that with heat gun you can renew the look on BLACK ones.
Any ideas for the blues. Is the plastic all blue and same method can be applied? Or any other ways to make them look nicer.

Many Thanks

Hello,

On my XC70 (black bumpers) I have used these two products..

Auto finesse Revive, apply with a small sponge and leave to dry on.

Auto finesse Dressle, this I use to keep them tidy, just spray on and wipe dry.

They worked great on mine, there is loads of other methods but I liked the ease of use with them.

Thanks Jonathan

Yes, same. I've done it all kinds of non-painted plastic trim including different colours - wing mirror back, bumpers, wheel arches, old car interiors etc - and it works superbly.

Many, many videos of it on Youtube.

Once done, the above recommended finishers can be applied to make it all look really well done.

PS: Also great if you accidentally tough plastic with your polish/wax cloth. Gets rid of the white mark instantly.

Olive oil applied sparingly with a circular motion using a soft lint free. Buff off after a few minutes. It isn't just a very environmentally friendly solution it is significantly cheaper too.....

Glad you asked the question. My newly acquired 2004 XC70 has the same blue plastics which are looking less than great.

The C4 stuff is very good & I used it on XC70 bumpers, although if money is tight, you'll find people on the forum have used linseed oil & peanut butter with success!

Another +1 for C4

Costs more than "back to black" but lasts longer so is worth the extra dosh
