Windscreen steaming up
I have a problem with my windscreen steaming up and steam coming out of the
vents when I put the heater on , works fine when I use the aircon . It's an 1998 S70 2.5T , think it may be the heater matrix as I had a T5 a couple of years back with the same problem. How much is Volvo going to sting me I wonder , as the last time I had this problem I took it to a Volvo specialist and it was as bad as it was before I gave it to them. Anyway I can live with it for the moment as the weather is warm , but it needs to get looked at sooner rather than later. Can anyone confirm that this could be the heater matrix. Thanks Monty. |

Ok thank you Jim , I'll have a look at it after work :-)
Well I had a look at the footwells and they are bone dry , but when I switched the heating on high power I got a lot of steam on the windscreen and through the vents , and the smell not so nice. Well Jim if it's easy to do , why don't you come round and show me ;-) i'm in Putney , and as far as I can see you are in London too :-) Ill think about what I'm going to do over the weekend .... Thanks again Monty. Last edited by Montysfirstvolvo; Apr 16th, 2011 at 14:12. |
