Amazon Stud Pattern and Offset

Hello all,

Could one of the Amazon experts out there tell me what the PCD and offset is on an amazon? For the future (i.e. Christmas time) I was considering purchasing some alloy wheels (Comp ML) to replace the shabby steels that are on the car at the moment.

How much are a set of new steelies? (obviously I'd have to get some new hubcaps etc)

Does anyone know of Watanabe in Japan making an RS \ F8 wheel in an Amazon fitment - they're my favouritest wheel in the world evAr !!!! (1111)

No idea what the offset is, but the pcd is 5 x 4.5" (114.3mm).

You may find some Wantanabes in this stud pattern but the chances are they will be in Japan, so shipping wopn't be cheap....

Another option is Ford Mustang wheels - American Racing Torq Thrusts look amazing on Amazons. See the pics in the links below

PCD 114.5 or 114.3 same fitment - just listed differently.

std et38 mm I normaly change to a 35mm ET.

Those Torq Thrusts are spaff worthy!

Although I think on an Amazon those are (a) a bit too big and (b) too shiny. If you had some anodised \ matt ones, they would look fantastic.

With a PCD of 114.3, that means the Amazon has the same stud pattern as a lot of the older mitsubishis and toyotas.

Thought you'd like them!!!! I do agree that they are a bit too shiny though - I'd have mine with just the rims polished but painted (silver or body colour) centres.

I think that most of the Jap stuff in 114.3mm pcd is only 4 stud, but if you ask on http://retrorides.proboards86.com/, one of the many resident J car perverts will be able to advise as to what wheels are available

Unless it has been updated recently, it's sadly not that accurate, esp for old Volvos. I must get around to asking them correct some of it!!!

The forum though has an amazing knowledge base - if you need confirmation of a pcd, someone will know, as wheel swaps are very much their thing. Amongst others, there are several mechanical engineers (eg one who works for Garrett Turbos, another freelances for companies like Cosworth & Prodrive), full time vehicle mechanics, a few MOT testers etc, etc as well as many marque experts & home mechanics. Although some of the humour / banter / in jokes may take a while to get used to, it's a great place & they are very helpful too
